It's Toyota rear end is weak. Our TT rear differential is rediculously stout and far exceeds the requirments for the torque put out by the factory TT engine. I have my rear diff at a diff shop right now for the 4.10 gears to be swapped in, and the tech doing the work was amazed at how rugged the diff is and compared it to the diffs he's seen in the Ford dualies running diesel. He went on and on at how solid the bearings are in the diff. He was very impressed to hear that my diff was for a Nissan coupe. This guy works mainly on domestic vehicles and has repaired tens of thousands of diffs in his career. He's at Performance Gearing in Auza, CA. He owns the shop.
